How long will the full day course be?

Usually, a full day course is six hours long with a thirty minute lunch break. We try to schedule these courses from 10am - 4pm.

Where is the training conducted?

Our in-person training courses take place at our Auckland salon at 201 Symonds Street, Eden Terrace, Auckland, NZ 1010.

Will I be training in a group with others?

No, your training is completely dedicated to you. All in-store training is one-on-one so you can move at a pace that suits you, and you have access to the expertise of your trainer exclusively.

What exactly am I going to learn in each method?

Our hands-on training includes sectioning, application, and removal techniques using your own model or a mannequin head provided by us. We also show you colour and cutting techniques that are important for creating flawless results.

What is the difference between full day training and hourly training?

Full day training will include learning all methods of hair extension installation. All start up kits are included which will cover the necessities needed to master extensions. On the other hand, our hourly training option is concentrated to learning one or two methods and you will also need to purchase the start-up kit for each method separately.

Do I need to have hairdressing experience to do training with Superior Hair?

Yes, we do recommend only people with some experience in hairdressing take advantage of our training courses. A basic understanding of hair fundamentals is important to get the most out of these courses.

Do I have to bring my own model?

Superior Hair recommends bringing along a human model to train on. This will give you a great understanding of hair placement and the hair extension installation process in the real world. However, we do also offer mannequin heads with 100% human hair if you are unable to provide a model.

Do I receive a certification at the end of my training?

Yes, you receive a certificate of completion for a full day training with Superior Hair.

What is the recommended amount for hourly training?

We recommend about 3-4 hours per method. If you are wanting to learn more than two methods in a session, we recommend you explore the full day training course instead.

Full day course- In House

Intensive course is designed for students with a hairdressing background.

Our full day course is a one-day intense training session with a trainer. Full Kit included on the day. Mannequin head supplied on the day for training (You may bring your own model if you wish).

Methods on the day : Tape-in, Nano Tips, Hot Fusion Keratin Utip Bonds and Wefts

Time: 10 AM TO 4 PM $1799.00 (+GST) per stylist

You will Learn advanced up-to-date skills in all four methods for application techniques, required to become a trusted professional in the industry.
You will be required practically to complete a step-by-step process of Preparation, Application of all four methods, Colour matching followed by cutting and blending techniques. This will take most of the day.
You will also learn about Aftercare/ Removals, Maintenance in this section.
You will be required to take notes and prompted to ask questions throughout the day. No question is ever too small to ask, our theory session is very informal and relaxed.
