Yes, absolutely—and we actually recommend it! Mixing tape-in styles can help you achieve a more natural, undetectable finish, especially if you have fine hair. For best results, try placing an Ultra Seamless Tape underneath and an Invisi Tape-In on top. This combination creates a lightweight, flawless blend without adding bulk.
While sandwiching two Invisi Tapes can work, it may feel a little thick for finer hair types since the bond includes hair. Ultra Seamless tapes, on the other hand, are super flexible and lie flat, making them ideal for a discreet, seamless look.

You can style your hair extensions with hot tools as often as you would your natural hair, since they are made from 100% Remy human hair. Just make sure to always use a heat protectant on both your extensions and natural hair to keep them looking their best and prevent any heat damage.

Yes, you can dye our hair extensions since they’re made from high-quality human hair. However, we recommend choosing a shade that closely matches your natural colour to avoid the need for colouring.
If you do decide to dye them, it's best to use semi-permanent colour or colour conditioner. Always test the dye on a small strand first to ensure the result is what you desire.
Keep in mind that while dyeing is possible, we cannot take responsibility for any damage caused during the process.
How should I wash my extensions?
How should I wash my extensions?
1. Always brush your extensions before you wash them.
2. Prepare a clean sink or bowl with lukewarm water
3. Pump 2 or 3 dollops of paraben, sulphate, alcohol and keratin free shampoo into the water and dissolve.
4. Shampoo each extensions separately by holding the bond and dipping the hair into the water. Massage gently with light strokes
5. Follow up with conditioner on the mids and ends. Leave them on a towel for around 15 minutes before rinsing.
6. Apply a deep conditioner or hair mask and leave them overnight
7. Rinse each extension the following morning in warm water
8. Allow them to air dry, or use heat protectant and a hair dryer
Remember: always use a shampoo that is paraben, sulphate, alcohol and keratin free. Only condition the mids and ends of your extensions. Following these rules will extend the life of your extensions.

Usually, a full day course is six hours long with a thirty minute lunch break. We try to schedule these courses from 10am - 4pm. Unless doing an hourly training.
Our in-person training courses take place at our Auckland salon at 201 Symonds Street, Eden Terrace, Auckland, NZ 1010.

Our hands-on training includes sectioning, application, and removal techniques using your own model or a mannequin head provided by us. We also show you colour and cutting techniques that are important for creating flawless results.

Full day training will include learning all methods of hair extension installation. All start up kits are included which will cover the necessities needed to master extensions. On the other hand, our hourly training option is concentrated to learning one or two methods and you will also need to purchase the start-up kit for each method separately.

A hair system is created using human hair, which is then hand-woven onto a particular base of material such as lace. The base is then adhered to the individual's head with the preferred method of attachment (tape or glue adhesive), and cut and blended to make it undetectable.

No, you don’t need to worry about people being able to tell you are wearing a Superior Hair men’s hair system. We at Superior Hair strive to provide high quality hair systems which includes a seamless hair line blend that works with your natural hair. With proper adhesion and styling, no one will ever know you are wearing a hair system.

A stock hair system comes ready-made. These hairpieces all have a standard base size and length, however we are able to cut them smaller. Superior Hair has a variety of colours available including grey hair options. It’s important to note that our stock hair piece is not of lesser quality than a custom made system - it’s just a convenient option if you want something in a hurry.
Custom hair systems are designed to your exact specification from your measures from which we use to create a template. Custom hair systems are completely customisable: from length to wave, from colour to curl. Custom systems will always be the best match for you.

With proper care, human hair systems last around six months to a year and can be reattached to the head if adhesive begins to wear.

Yes, you can shower normally with a human hair system on. However, we do suggest avoiding shampoos and conditions with sulphates or parabens as these may compromise the hair.

Our Human Hair system can be darkened and toned down but we do not recommend bleaching your system or attempting highlights. Our systems have been treated so they do not react in the same way as natural hair to bleaching products, and attempting to lighten it may cause irreversible damage.

You can use any styling gels and wax to keep your hair style intact. If you are using strong wax/oils, we recommend rinsing your hair system well when washing.

Yes, if your natural hair was growing before the system was applied, it will continue to grown under the attached system. You are encouraged to come back to the hair salon every four weeks to have the system taken off, the glue removed, the new hair that's grown underneath re-shaved and then have the hair system re-applied. However, if you are not going to the salon for regular maintenance and use the tape method, you are welcome to do this at home.

Your system will fade naturally over a long period of time, but this should be virtually undetectable unless you are in excessive strong sun, or your hair comes in contact with a lot of salt (through ocean swimming or in your shampoo.) Superior Hair recommends a sulphate-free shampoo.
Over a long time, it will fade - however they can easily be coloured. Just avoid bleaching.

If you choose to purchase a custom-made hair system, it will take roughly 3-4 month to create from your purchase date. Once we receive it in our Auckland salon, a full fitting will only take around 2 hours.
For stock pieces, there is virtually no wait. They are ready to go products. Our experts need to fit the stock system, make any size changes, and then it is ready to install.

You are welcome come back to the hair salon every 2-4 weeks to have the system taken off, the glue removed, the new hair that’s grown underneath re-shaved and then have the hair system re-applied. If you are using tape to secure your system, you can complete these steps yourself.

A hair system is made to be worn constantly and does no damage to your scalp. The adhesive bond method lasts up to 2-4 weeks depending on your lifestyle.

Generally speaking, yes it is. However if you’re a little bit tentative and you’re not quite sure if it’s for you and you want to see what it looks like - there are options. We can apply it over to your hair or you can start with a system that clips in (as long as you have enough existing hair for this method.)
For best results, we shave the spot where the system will be attached, making sure to leave hair where needed to create the seamless blend.

Natural shedding is normal, and shedding will vary depending on your aftercare and how careful you are when maintaining your piece. At some point, it may require a repair and we are happy to complete this for our custom made pieces. Keep in mind that the repair can only be done once, it is not recommended to have the base repaired more than this.

We use a glue called “No Tape Glue”. It’s extremely popular on the market and entirely safe. Rest assured, this product has worked for us and for years and we have had no problems whatsoever with this bond.

4. Allow to soak for 3-5 minutes, and then swish the hair around in the soapy solution for 1 minute.
5. Rinse gently
6. Comb conditioner through the hair, starting at the ends and work your way up to the base
7. Rinse gently
You can set it under a warm dryer until dry, or let it naturally air dry overnight.

You can use any heat tool of your preference to style your wig, however we do recommend using heat protectors before applying any heat and keeping your heat low (around 160 is recommended.)
