Removable hair extensions like clip ins and halo extensions only need to be washed ever 15 to 20 uses. They don’t get dirty very easily, and this is because they do not produce natural oils like your scalp does. Check out a step-by-step guide below on the best way to wash your removable extensions.
Semi-permanent extensions that can not be removed easily can be washed similarly to your natural routine, but we do suggest washing hair only 2-3 times per week. Make sure to massage gently and to avoid shampoos with parabens, alcohol, or sulphates.

These ingredients will strip any natural oil left in the extensions, making the dry and tangle prone.

The chemicals and salts in water are known to dry out hair, so Superior Hair recommends avoiding swimming. However, if you do want to swim while wearing extensions, always use a moisturising leave-in conditioner afterwards to replenish any lost moisture.

You are welcome to use purple shampoo on your blonde extensions, but make sure the shampoo is sulphate, paraben and keratin free.
Superior Hair recommends you dilute the shampoo as some purple shampoos can change the colour of your extensions in a bad way. Diluting the shampoo will ensure the resulting colour is toned blonde, not purple!
